The Case:
Small,
insignificant things stand on the way of solving huge problems!
Lack of clean water causing thousands of children to get sick, and many
of them die. In India alone, some 1600 children die each day to
diarrhea. Thousands of mothers are forced to spend majority of their day
fetching water for their homes. Numerous farmers are unable to use their
capacity due to lack of water.
A comprehensive solution
Sanma's water well program offers practical solution to this situation.
One part of the program builds deep-water-wells for villages and slums.
The other part of the program is educating people ways to preserve water
and keep water sources safe.
Sanma Healthy Village program has been instrumental to reduce
infant mortality rate in rural India. Each year, more than a dozen
villages are made properly educated ways to prevent water born diseases
by Sanma's Health Information Specialists.
Today your help will allow another village to change for the better.
Freshwater well $950
Co-sponsor a well $95
Educate a family importance of using safe
water $12
Educate a slum colony ways to keep water
sources safe $300
Install a water purification system for a
village $4000
“In order to reduce the tragic infant mortality rates in the Indian villages, the villagers needed access to clean water and they needed to be educated in keeping their water sources clean. Sanma addresses the infant mortality rate in India on both of these fronts.”
