Missionary Work Overview: The life and work of a local pastor or missionary in South Asia is much different from that of a similar position in the western world. "Live by faith" is still the norm for most of those men and women of God. Many of them are often persecuted. Several of the native missionaries are abandoned by their own families for the decision they made to share the message of Christ. Today, there are tens of thousands of missionaries in South Asia who are willing to pay the price, which at times may be in the form of their own loved ones for the sake of the missionary work of spreading the Gospel. They esteem the reproach of the cross and gladly refuse the comforts of this world. They are living testimonies of God's love. The transformation that happened in their lives witnesses to those around them. SANMA identifies such great men and women, provide them missionary training, fellowship with them at the time of their needs, equip them for the work and support them in their missionary work.

South Asia Native Missionary Alliance, abbreviated as SANMA, is a nonprofit Corporation engaged in training and supporting national Christian missionaries serving Jesus in India. The main purpose of SANMA is to evangelize South Asia and to build church homes in South Asia. One out of every six people on earth today live in India. Over 700 million people from South Asian countries have never heard the name of Jesus. SANMA trains, equips and supports native Christian missionaries to reach the South Asian population with the love of Jesus. By applying the 4-Step SANMA Plan, which has proven through the past 46 years to be the most effective method in evangelizing South Asian villages, SANMA communicates the greatest truth of all to the people of South Asian countries- the Son of God, Jesus, came to this world to save the whole world!

Our brothers and sisters in Christ in South Asia, especially in India, face many challenges. They may be rejected in the community, they often face severe persecution, and at times they lose educational and employment benefits from the government for accepting Jesus as their Savior and sharing the gospel of Christ. SANMA has a working system to evangelize South Asian countries. SANMA trains talented native individuals and equips them to evangelize their own people. Evangelism is communicating the message of the gospel. Effective communication begins from understanding the audience. Because 72% of South Asian people live in villages, in order to understand South Asia one must first understand the villages of South Asia. Motivated by concern for their fellow countrymen who do not know Jesus as their Savior, and not limited by the barriers of culture or language, native mission workers share the gospel most effectively, which brings solid results.

Currently an estimated 35,000 well-qualified workers in South Asia are available to serve in the mission fields. These are men and women of God, with a sincere commitment to share the gospel with their fellow countrymen. These men and women need sponsors to fulfill the mission of evangelizing the nation.
