Literacy, Medical, and Agricultural Volunteer Opportunities in India

American volunteers who travel overseas to support great causes are eligible to receive a matching grant of up to $1000 from the USAID, when working through worthy organizations. Sanma is a featured partner of this program.

How does the grant program works

VFPServ provides grants to partner organizations to assist skilled Americans who wish to volunteer abroad. VFPServ grants (ranging from $500 to $1000) are individual, non-renewable and are designated to offset travel, insurance and local living costs of short-term international volunteer assignments. Grants match at least an equal amount of funds raised by volunteers locally. Volunteer assignments are supervised by leading US non-profits and companies affiliated with the VFP Office, to which Sanma is a featured partner organization. Click here for more information.

Ways to raise funds for your cause, or to qualify for the matching grant

Firstgive.org offers ways you can create a page and raise funds for your cause. The site will receive funds on your behalf and keeps you posted on the progress.
