In some cases, you can't wait to act!

There are currently more than 11 million children roaming the streets of
India. These helpless young ones have no one to look after them or
protect them from danger and disease.
The street children have
little hope of ever growing into anything more than a homeless adult,
scraping out the most meager living possible on a non-existent income.
Oftentimes if they continue to be neglected they will turn to crime as a
means of obtaining food and shelter.
Sanma recognizes the vital difference that a good meal, care, and
housing can do for these homeless children. Many of the boys and girls
who come to children’s missions are intelligent and hard working, and
only need to be given a chance to prove that they can succeed.
Sanma works with local churches, and orphan homes in helping to save
less fortunate children from disease and starvation before it is too
late. Necessities such as food, medical attention, and clothing are
provided for children in need.
Water brings life. Contaminated
water kills children. Each day 1600 children in India die to
diarrhea. Since water is not available in their village, their parents walk up to a mile to bring
water for their daily needs. Nearly 80% of all child diseases
among the slum children in India are linked to lack of water, or contaminated
water.
Your gifts do more than to build deep
water wells; they bring life, because some 2 million children stand a chance to
survive their first birthday if they had access to clean
water! Your charitable gifts to provide the
poor fresh water wells also preserve and protect natural
springs, educate people ways to preserve water sources safe.

Helminthes eats away nutrition from
children. A pair of shoes helps prevent helminthes. Street children and children of the
families often live by the toxic landfills exposed to
contaminated soil. The rural villages and slums of India do
not have sanitary standards or sewer systems.
Millions of
children are affected by helminthes because they are exposed
to contaminated soil, and have no shoes.
Your gift of a pair of shoes is more
than a gift; it protects the child from helminthes and help
save the nutrition in his/her body. Sanma educates slum dwellers and
villagers sanitary practices and personal hygiene, and provide
children shoes. Children’s hygiene education book cost $1 and
a pair of shoes costs $5. Read more about the Children’s
Healthy Village program.
